CEO of Nightline, John Tuohy, Opens New Depot in Athlone, Creating 30 Jobs
John Tuohy, CEO of Nightline, Ireland’s leading independent courier and forwarding service, has today opened their eleventh depot. This depot, located in Athlone’s Business Park, will serve as a hub for Nightline’s activity in the midlands.Nightline has created 30 new positions as part of this depot opening, with 10 new employees having been hired so far this year and plans to hire a further 20 in the coming 12 months.
A large portion of these roles will be for Local Van Operators. This role is open to skilled drivers with an entrepreneurial drive. It allows experienced drivers the opportunity to be self-employed while partnering with one of Ireland’s largest parcel delivery companies.

Established in 1992, Nightline is Ireland’s largest parcel delivery business servicing both the domestic and international markets, delivering over 1,000,000 parcels each month and employing over 650 people.
Nightline has eleven Irish depots and recently expanded three of these as a result of increased business from the retail sector.
In 2011, Nightline invested €5.5 million in its Dublin headquarters as well as moving its Belfast operation to a new multi-million euro facility. The Nightline network is fast growing, with the company expecting to open a further two depots across Ireland this year.
